Preparing for the feast.



Strawberry chocolate chip cookies: 1/2 container of Cool Whip 1/2 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 egg 1 box of strawberry cake mix   Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together ingredients, and bake for 8-10 minutes on parchment paper (these cookies are very sticky)

I finally amped myself up enough to fight rush hour traffic across town to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few Christmas decorations. I promised myself I wouldn't spend too much money this year on Christmas. I have plenty of decor packed in 2 Tupperware tubs in a friend's garage in Florida. But I love nesting for Christmas, so I allowed myself a few purchases, and a few craft projects. Here are a few...

On a recent trip to Hobby Lobby, I picked up a can of gold spray paint. I proceeded to go home and scour my apartment for anything that I could turn gold. Here are the results...

While strolling through the produce department at Trader Joe's, I stumbled upon this kit. It's a Guacamole Kit! Everything you need for fresh, delish guacamole - 2 ripe avocados, a tiny onion, a tiny tomato, a jalapeño, a clove of garlic, and a lime. And all for $3.49! Simple, easy, and delicious!








(I only used half of the onion, jalapeño, garlic, and lime - I like it mild)

instant gratification

Thanks to the iPhone 5 release, I have finally been able to upgrade from the 3GS to the 4. I know it's not the newest and greatest, but I am very happy. And something else that makes me happy? My new snakeskin iPhone case came in the mail today. :)

This is why I have decided to post a description every so often - so we can take a moment to look at the world through the humility of a child.
