Christmas nesting
I finally amped myself up enough to fight rush hour traffic across town to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few Christmas decorations. I promised myself I wouldn't spend too much money this year on Christmas. I have plenty of decor packed in 2 Tupperware tubs in a friend's garage in Florida. But I love nesting for Christmas, so I allowed myself a few purchases, and a few craft projects. Here are a few...
Wreath made from scrap linen and a poinsetta from the Dollar Store.
With no Christmas tree, I had to be creative on how I displayed my ornaments.
Copied straight from Pinterest.
Reindeer with jingle bells: Dollar Store. Bust of reineer: idea from Pinterest.
Twinkly lights under the countertop.
In addition to my crafts, here are a few other extra touches:

guacamole
While strolling through the produce department at Trader Joe's, I stumbled upon this kit. It's a Guacamole Kit! Everything you need for fresh, delish guacamole - 2 ripe avocados, a tiny onion, a tiny tomato, a jalapeño, a clove of garlic, and a lime. And all for $3.49! Simple, easy, and delicious!

(I only used half of the onion, jalapeño, garlic, and lime - I like it mild)

halloween
I know I'm super late posting these, but better late than never, right?!

Happy Halloween, y'all!
Here are some photos of my cubicle at work (I won 2nd place in the cubicle-decorating contest, thank you very much!).
And me! I dressed up like a rapper and pinned candy wrappers all over myself - candy rapper! (This did NOT win any sort of prize)
Happy Halloween, y'all!

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'
Karl - age 5
You have probably come across, at some point in your lifetime, the chain email that quotes children on what they believe to be the definition of love. I had this email forwarded to me again this week, and I couldn’t help but smile. This is why I have decided to post a description every so often - so we can take a moment to look at the world through the humility of a child.
